Vendors Required to Update for Access to Electronic Procurement System

(Washington, DC) The Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) has begun electronically issuing purchase orders to suppliers through the Procurement Automated Support System (PASS). OCP continues to contact suppliers to update information, which will enable them to continue receiving procurements and solicitations. OCP is asking suppliers to rapidly respond when they are contacted.

In early 2002, the District of Columbia launched the Administrative Services Modernization Program (ASMP), a business transformation project that will modernize back-office operations for the District's key administrative functions, including procurement. OCP is the first agency to experience the cutting-edge features and tangible benefits of ASMP with the implementation of the PASS system. The PASS system enables OCP to deliver services to its customers in a swift and seamless manner, taking advantage of automated systems, unprecedented access to information, and enhanced processes and procedures.

For more information, suppliers are invited to contact the Office of Contracting and Procurement at (202) 727-0252.
